Swimming Lessons 2008

COST:          $40 per person

Sign-Ups:  Monday – Friday from 9:00 am – 4:30pm

Beginning Monday, May 5^th 

Parks and Recreation Office – 8 Pirate Parkway

Child Lessons:

10 children per class

Participants MUST be at least 5 years of age or older (Proof of age required)

All classes are Monday through Thursday allowing Friday to be a make up day

Beginning Swimming: 9:30am - 10:30am

Advanced Beginners: 8:30am- 9:30am (Session #1 and #2)

Intermediate Swimming: 8:30am-9:30 am (Session #3 ONLY)

**Please call for pre-requisite skills required for each level** 

Session #1 June 2 – June 12, 2008  (DEADLINE: May 21)

Session #2 June 16 – June 26, 2008         (DEADLINE: June 6)

Session #3 July 7 – July 17, 2008     (DEADLINE: June 27)

Adult Lessons:

8 Adults per class

Adult classes are on Saturday mornings ONLY

Adult Beginning: Saturdays 9:30am-10:30am

Adult Class June 7 - June 28, 2008 (DEADLINE: May 21)

Swimming Lessons
Pre-Requisite Skills

Beginner:

There are no prerequisite skills

Advanced Beginner:

          Back Float Independently

          Swim Unaided 15 yards

          Fully Submerge Head and Face

Intermediate:

          Swim 15 yards of Freestyle (Front Crawl) with Breathing

          Swim 15 yards of Backstroke (Back Crawl)

          Tread Water for 30 Seconds
